Dr Mercy Uwakwe’s Foundation, through one of its initiatives ‘4 D Sake Of the People(4DSOP)” is set to launch their prison outreach in Abia State Nigeria. In line with its vision of fighting social injustice, the initiative aims to provide relief materials to prisoners, providing legal aides to disenfranchised prisoners as well as funding the bail fee of several inmates who have been subjected to maltreatment and held captive for countless years.
The Foundation aims to uplift, relief and ameliorate certain challenges, this initiative is not the first as the foundation has given scholarships, visited orphanages, done numerous palliative outreaches especially during this pandemic and still has lots of outreaches in store which propelled the initiation of the 4DSOP.
The Founder, Dr. Mercy Uwakwe being an unparalleled philanthropist and having an unwavering love for humanity promised to make this a recurring event to ensure that a lot of the unjustly sentenced are released among other edifying effects on the inmates. This is in line with her foundation’s slogan ‘HUMANITY FIRST’.
Due to the humanitarian nature of Dr. Mercy Uwakwe and her inevitable urge to serve has now taken that agenda to the correctional facilities in Abia State, soon reaching out to other states and the world at large.
Dr. Mercy Uwakwe keeps putting smiles on peoples faces and giving hope to the less privileged, as she has commenced the legal proceedings for the release of Blessing Anyanwu who was wrongly convicted for murder over 5 years.
