Hair loss could also be caused by vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition and Vitamin K2 is a very important vitamin to help reduce hair loss. 2 factors could result in acute hair loss. Firstly, is the dominance of the DHT hormone. High levels of this hormone can result in hair loss leading to baldness.

Another factor that can cause hair loss is scalp calcification. This occurs when there is a huge deposit of calcium on the scalp. This scalp calcification is usually caused by hormones such as estrogen and prolactin. The effect of calcification is a block or reduction of blood supply to the blood vessels of the scalp leading to a shrinking of the hair follicles and causes hair loss.

Vitamins are a very important part of our dietary needs. Vitamin K2 has been proven to be important in terms of regeneration and regrowth of hair strands which helps to prevent hair loss.

Foods rich in Vitamin K2 includes egg (yolk), meat, milk, hotdogs, butter, some fermented vegetables like kefir, cheese etc.

So, if you’re experiencing acute hair loss, you might want to try increasing your dietary intake of vitamins especially Vitamin K2.
